We are delighted to launch this event in 2025!
Don't forget to click "attending" on the official Facebook Event.
Please NB: Unfortunately dogs are not permitted on the Sheep's Head Way due to the abundance of wildlife (sheep and goats!) on the peninsula.
Check-in! : We will be asking all registered participants to check in online approximately two weeks from the event. The Check-in process will result in a simpler event experience for you by removing the usual on-the-day administration. Amongst other things, within the Check-in process we will be asking you to watch the mandatory event safety video.
This new 50 Mile Ultra around the Sheep's Head Peninsula in the South of Ireland is sure to get hearts pumping!
Recognised as a European Destination of Excellence the peninsula is remote, wild and unspoilt. The route follows the varied terrain of the Wild Atlantic Way and includes a daunting 2250m of elevation gain.
This Ultra Marathon represents a strenuous but fulfilling test for the ambitious trail runner - set in a beautiful, unspoilt and largely unknown location.
Now the longest distance event in the Endurancelife collection, this one is not for the fainthearted! Entries are limited to just 100 participants.
Virtual : Don't forget to connect with us via the official Facebook Event where you can select "Going" or "Interested" or via our Strava Event. Here you can network with others and join in the conversation by asking questions and advice.
In Person : Due to the nature of this long distance event there will be a very wide finish window. As such, it isn't really practical to hold an official post-event gathering as the team will be working late into the evening. There are lots of great places to eat in Bantry however, mainly around the South West of the harbour - and we do recommend taking a drink in The Snug!
